Day 7 Blazeaid, 19/7/22

A very fresh start to the day, 3.2° feels like 1.7° according to the BoM.

Pretty sky to see us off to volunteer.
We drove 45kms, out towards Gayndah, to a farm. The farmers keep getting interrupted with rain and are struggling to clean up from January's floods. Their is more rain predicted in the next couple of days and they're trying to get seeds planted before it gets here.
Our first job was to sort through the above and many more piles of pipes and take out the bent ones and remove the fittings. Not an easy task. Some had to be removed with a grinder.
The horse gave us encouragement.
Our 2nd job was to go out into the soggy paddocks and remove any rubbish and stack up any trees washed down. We made about 5 bonfire piles.

The farm hand got his ute bogged.
Great views.

We are pretty tired after our day. I've been asked to help in the kitchen, serving dinner and the clean up as 1 of the regular ladies has to take a few hours off.
