Day 1 Yarraman Weir 5.09.22

We're off on another short adventure. Left home at 8.30am and had morning tea at Ululah lagoon in Maryborough with my parents before heading to Yarraman for the night.

Stopped for lunch in Goomeri. Beautiful flower beds outside the memorial hall.
We have set up at Yarraman Weir free camp. There's a toilet, rubbish bin, beautiful green grass and a running creek. So far, 6pm, we are the only ones here. The mower man was here when we arrived so it's very neat and tidy.
We had a technical issue and were unable to bring the bikes this trip. A real shame as we're next to the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.

This is about 6 or 7 inches deep in the middle.

Nice spot for a coffee.
I went for a 2km exploring walk.
Couldn't decide which pic to post.

Awesome view to cook dinner.  We've seen turtle heads poking up but haven't spotted a platypus yet. The sing song of the abundant bird life is so relaxing.

Today we travelled 243kms.
