September school holidays, Goldcoast week 1.

1st week of the school holidays. 
A few pics of my time on the Goldcoast at Rachel and John's. 
Ollie has soccer on Mondays at kindy.

'Other Nanny' and I took the boys to see Justice League Super Pets. Which we all enjoyed. 
Off to explore Mount Tamborine.

John's monaro broke down.
Rach and John have a wedding to attend on Bribie Island so I've tagged along to their unit to watch the boys.

Rach ready for the wedding and Ollie who is not too happy he's not going fell asleep on the chair. Ended up sleeping for 2.5hrs.






The boys went on a scavenger hunt at the museum.

We spent some time at the Bribie Island museum before hitting the beach for a play.
Worn out after the wedding. 
After a restless night sleep I gave up and headed for home at 5.15am on the Saturday morning. Got home in time to unpack, do a few chores, repack (to go to Bundy the next day) and watch my beloved swannies get a thrashing in the AFL grandfinal 💔🤍❤️🦢

 7km hike this morning.  Had a snooze in the afternoon before heading up to Cania Dam. A bit of a smoke haze around but it made it more interesting.  Pre dinner drinks around the fire with Graham and Gail again before having a steak dinner beside the fire.

Taroom 04.10.22

Tuesday We farewelled our friends in Kogan this morning and have no real plans for the day other than to visit the lagoon 7kms south of Condamine.  Departed at 8.15am despite our relaxed morning.  On the road to Condamine.  Stopped at the lagoon to have breakfast at 9am. Cold wind blowing so just had a short wander around to check out the area for another time. It's a free camp, with about 8 powered sites and more unpowered in a relaxed, designated area. There's a toilet block, bbqs, shelters, bins, fire pits and swimming in the lagoon.  There's basic camping beside the water but it's a bit overgrown.  Stopped in Miles for a wander. We have been here before.  The above was so wide the wheels were removed. Lots of large vehicles and equipment around in Miles. Headed out of Miles for Wandowan. We enjoyed a 1.5km walk around Wandoan and an icecream then headed off towards Taroom. We have enjoyed being 'free spirited' in our Journey today. 3 out of the 4 places...

21.11.22 B.P Dam & Bundy area.

We're having a few days away at Bjelke Peterson Dam with Graham, Gail and Quilpie. We have been here numerous times, so not so many photos.  Monday Pool was very refreshing after a hot day but for some reason you can't ride your bike in it. Tuesday  Went for a windy 4.6km walk across the dam wall. Wednesday  Gail and I took Quilpie for a 5km walk across the dam and back. Afternoon visitor. Trying out our Christmas present a little early. Sun setting on another lovely day. Thursday  Gail and I took Quilpie for another 5km walk. We have moved on today to Moore Park Beach.  Sites are a bit more 'sardine-ish' than at the dam but there's not too many here. Went for a 2.2km beach walk before settling in for a relaxing afternoon. Thought I'd go for a wander around the van park and ended up to the shopping precinct for an ice cream. Today I have walked over 12 kms, Mark's walked about 7kms. We should sleep well tonight. As I go to bed my step counter has recorded 20...
